Register Branch of Insurance Broker

A process whereby a broker’s branch is recorded in the Insurance Brokers Register. The Broker is the person who independently mediates in insurance and re-insurance operations between the insurance applicant (requestor) in the one hand and any insurance or re-insurance company on the other hand. The broker receives his/its fees in the form of commission from the insurance company

1.Electronically submit the application on the system, by user name and password. In the event that the user is new he shall send an email letter requesting a user name and password

2. Complete the service form and upload it along with the documents in the electronic system

3. The completed application is reviewed and approved

4. The technical staff (key employees) shall be interviewed in the Authority’s headquarters

5. Pay the fees through e-services or through a smartphone application. In case the applicant is applying in person: Payment can be made through the electronic screen at the Customer Service Center in the Authority; and in case of a system breakdown: Payment can be made by e-Dirham or credit card at the Authority

6. The customer prints the Registration Certificate

Fee for Registering an insurance broker branch :  AED 3000 once at the time of extract printout

Attachments Required

  1. The Board of Directors’ / Management Board’s resolution approving the opening of the branch
  2. Undertaking to provide the Authority with the title deed of the branch or its lease contract approved by the concerned authorities
  3. Approval of the competent authority in the relevant Emirate
  4. A certificate approved by the Authority confirming that there are no administrative irregularities during the two years preceding the submission of the application
  5. A declaration from the branch official that he is fully responsible for the actual management of the branch
  6. A statement showing the technical equipment in the branch, as well as a list of the names and job titles of his staff a statement denominated
  7. A certified statement showing the premium volume achieved in the fiscal year preceding the submission of the application, provided that the volume of collected premiums in the previous fiscal year is not less than AED 3 million
  8. A declaration that the new branch will operate under the direct supervision of the general manager
  9. Letter of bank guarantee
